World-OKTA
About
In April 1981, 101 overseas Korean traders from 16 countries gathered at the Seoul International Trade Fair, where they formed the Overseas Korean Traders Associations to contribute to the economic development of Korea by investing in their home country, fostering compatriot traders, and promoting import and export trade with Korea and agreed to hold a general meeting back in their motherland every year. This marked the beginning of World-OKTA.
Since then, World-OKTA, celebrating its 43rd anniversary this year, has grown to become the largest overseas Korean economic organization with 148 chapters in 68 countries, and it is still upholding the founding philosophy to “contribute to the economic development of Korea by promoting export.”
World-OKTA will continue its efforts to take giant strides and lead the global Korean economic community.
